For eighteen months, Ana Herrera-Lindqvist photographed the same square of sky above her studio in Malmö — every day at 11.04, the minute her mother's last letter was postmarked. The 547 exposures hang here in one unbroken line, sixty-two metres long, wrapping the entire third floor.
Read left to right, the line is a diary written in weather: fronts arriving, a volcanic winter, the pale haze of a distant fire season. Alongside it sit pigment studies mixed from Malmö rainwater, a 24-channel soundwork built from thirty years of shipping forecasts, and the artist's grandmother's cloud atlas, annotated across three generations of the same family.
The exhibition ends where it must: a room with no work at all, one glass ceiling, and the actual sky — today's entry in the archive, on view for one day only.
Weather is the century's most honest self-portrait. Everything we have done to the air comes back as colour.
