The Machine

Inside the D24-24-6

A single hollow-flight screw runs the length of a jacketed 316 stainless shell. Thermal fluid circulates through the jacket and through the flights themselves — heat conducts into the product through steel, never through flame. Product and heat travel the same length on separate paths.

How It Dries

Heat and product, on separate paths

  1. Feed

    Sludge enters through the inlet hopper, one continuous charge.

  2. Indirect Dry

    Thermal fluid conducts heat through the 316SS jacket and hollow flights — never through flame.

  3. Discharge

    Dried cake exits the same pass — no second system, no rehandling.

Indirect Conduction
Heat is transferred through the steel walls of the trough and screw, not by direct contact between flame and sludge. The product never touches a combustion source.
Closed Thermal Loop
Thermal fluid circulates through the jacket and through the hollow flights of the screw itself, delivering heat along the full length of the pass in a closed circuit.
316 Stainless Contact Surfaces
Every surface the product touches — shell, screw, flights — is 316 stainless steel, specified for the corrosion chemistry of municipal and industrial sludge.
Continuous Conveyance
A single screw moves material from inlet to discharge while conduction does the drying — mechanical transport and thermal transfer happen in one pass, not two systems.
