Fadehouse opened in 2016 with four chairs, one pole, and a rule taped to the mirror: the clippers never leave a head unfinished. Ten years on, the tape has yellowed and the rule stands. We are not a salon, not a grooming lounge, not an "experience." We are a barbershop that takes your half hour more seriously than you do.

Moss Whitfield
Beard architecture and straight-razor work. Third-generation barber out of Bed-Stuy; strops his own razors Sunday nights. Will talk jazz records exactly as long as you let him.

Scissor crops, textured tops, the hardest cowlicks in Kings County. Trained in Seoul, finished on Grand St. If you bring a photo, she will tell you the truth about it.

Precision designs, freestyle lines, and the steadiest zero-gap trimmer hand in the shop. Did the pinstripe lettering on the front window with a brush, freehand.

We hold your chair ten minutes. Minute eleven, it goes to the walk-in bench, no hard feelings either way.

Every cut gets its minutes.
Forty-five on the clock. Nobody leaves half-finished because the shop got loud at 5 PM.

Steel on every hairline, never the corner of a trimmer. That is the difference you are paying for.

With every shave. No exceptions, no upcharge, no asking.

If the photo you brought will not work with your hair, you hear it before the cape goes on, not after.
